At No Bad Dogs of New England, we believe there truly are no bad dogs—only dogs and owners who need clear guidance, mutual understanding, and consistent leadership to flourish together.

About Us

Four decades ago, my journey began with a simple revelation: most behavioral problems aren't caused by a stubborn or spiteful pet, but by a breakdown in everyday communication. I set out to decode canine body language and translate it into practical steps for owners. Forty years later, that spark is brighter than ever. Every dog brings a unique puzzle, and watching that lightbulb moment—when confusion turns into calm obedience—never gets old.

A balanced approach built on trust and clarity

If you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or ready to give up, take a deep breath. Our balanced training system removes the stress and guilt. We first teach correct behaviors in calm environments using positive rewards, praise, and motivation. Once your dog truly understands expectations, we introduce fair, gentle, and consistent boundaries. The result is real-world reliability without force or frustration.

Real-world skills, not sterile classroom tricks

Big-box store classes rely on one-size-fits-all checklists taught in quiet aisles. New England pets live dynamic lives in busy town centers, hardware stores, and bustling local parks. Based in Shirley and Leominster, Massachusetts, we bring master-level expertise directly to real-world environments across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and beyond. Book your initial evaluation today—50% of the assessment fee ($112.50) is credited toward any program.

"We were at the end of our rope with our dog's reactivity. After just a few sessions, our walks are peaceful and enjoyable again. The balanced approach gave us our lives back."
